As a board certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, and a mother to a special needs son,  Monika has always enjoyed babies, especially those who make an early arrival, or need some extra love and attention.

Monika earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Villanova University, with clinical rotation  at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.  Her Masters of Science in Nursing, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner  was earned at Stony Brook training at Montefiore and Mount Sinai in New York City.  She is earning her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Duke University concentrating on Infant Development.

Monika has extensive infant experience.  Her years as a NICU Nurse was spend at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, a level IV NICU and a national leader in neonatal care. She finished a nursing residency and nursing fellowship on patient safety and Quality.  She presented at frontiers in neonatal medicine in Hong Kong about quality driven care in NICUs.  Her time as a Nurse practitioner started at Mount Sinai where she oversaw the Nurse Practitioners in NICU OB and Mother Baby while starting a in hospital Breast Milk Bank. She is the developmental Nurse Practitioner at the NICU Follow up program for Valley Hospital.
